E형 간염의 원인 

  • E형 간염 바이러스(Hepatitis E virus) 감염으로 생긴 간염을 E형 간염이고 한다. 
  • E형 간염은 이란, 수단, 파키스탄 등 열대 지방과 아열대 지역에서 주로 유행된다. 
  • 그러나 아세아, 미국, 유럽 등지에서도 발생된다. 
  • 오염된 음료수를 통해서 감염된다. 
  • 일반적으로 사람을 통해서 감염되지는 않는다. 
  • 잠복기는 3-8주이다. 

E형 간염의 증상 징후

  • 황달, 식욕상실, 간 비대, 복통, 구토, 열, 관절통 등의 증상 징후가 생길 수 있다. 
  • 황달은 몇 주 동안 계속될 수 있다. 
  • 임산부에게 E형 간염이 발생되면 간염이 더 전격적으로 진행되어 사망할 수 있다, 
  • 불현성 E형 간염도 발생할 수 있다. 
  • 황달은 몇 주 동안 계속될 수 있다. 

 E형 간염의 진단

  • 병력 증상 징후 진찰소견 등을 종합해서 이 병이 의심되면 다른 원인으로 생기는 간염을 배제하고 난 다음 추정진단 할 수 있다. 
  • E형 바이러스 감염으로 생긴 항체검사로 진단할 수 있다. 
  • E형 간염 바이러스 항체 IgM, IgG, Anti-HEV 검사로 진단할 수 있다. 
  • 외국 여행을 갔던 사실은 E 간염을 진단하는 데 도움이 된다.

E형 간염의 치료

  • 특효약이 없고 대증치료 한다. 
  • 대부분 경우 자연 회복되는 것이 보통이나 
  • E형 간염으로 0.5~4% 사망한다. 
  • 특히 임산부가 감염되면 20%의 사망률이 생긴다. 
  • 예방 접종 백신은 없다.
