흡인성 폐렴(흡인폐렴) Aspiration pneumonia

신생아들이나 영유아들 또는 학령기 아이들 그리고 사춘기 아이들이 잘못해서 무엇이 경구나 비강, 인두, 후두, 기관, 기관지, 세기관지 속으로 흡인될 수 있고 그로 인해서 흡인성 기도 내 이물 또는 폐렴이 생길 수 있다. 특히 음식물, 약물, 휘발유 등이 흡인되어 흡인 폐렴이 생길 때도 있다. 태변을 흡인해서 흡인성 태변성 폐렴이 태어난 신생아에게 생길 수 있다.

Upper and epiglottis trachea and aspiration pneumonia a-tonsils, b-epiglottis, c-pseudo vocal cords, d-true vocal cords, e-trachea, f-esophagus Newborns, infants, school-age children, and adolescents may accidentally aspirate something into the oral cavity, nasal cavity, pharynx, larynx, trachea, bronchi, bronchioles, resulting in aspirational airway foreign body or pneumonia.

In particular, in some cases, aspiration pneumonia occurs due to aspiration of food, drugs, gasoline, etc.
