• 척추 내부 골판과 척수 경막 사이의 공간에 생긴 화농성 감염병을 척수 경막외 농양이라고 한다.
• 척추 골수염이 있을 때 합병증으로 생길 수도 있다.
• 등통이나 목이 아플 수 있고 농양이 생겨있는 체부 이하 신체 부위가 약해지고 마비될 수도 있다.
• 조임 근이 정상으로 기능할 수 없다.
• 신경근 통증이 생길 수도 있다.
• 긴급 응급 수술치료를 요한다.
• 항생제로 치료한다.

Spinal epidural abscess
