쯔쯔가무시 병(덤불 티푸스/진드기 티프스/쯔쯔가무시열/츠츠가무시병)의 원인

쯔쯔가무시 병을 쯔쯔가무시 열, 쯔쯔가무시증, 덤불 티푸스, 또는 진드기 티프스라고도 한다.
트롬비쿨이드 마이트(Trombiculid mite) 진드기가 보균한 리케차 츠츠가무시균이 사람에게 감염될 때 이 병이 발생될 수 있다. 즉 진드기가 매개체 역할을 한다.
들쥐 진드기가 리케차츠츠가무시를 보균한다.
중국, 네팔, 일본, 인도네시아, 오스트라리아, 한국 등 극동지역 및 남부 아시아지역에서 이 병이 주로 발생된다.
최근에는 미국에서도 발생되었다.

쯔쯔가무시 병(덤불 티푸스/진드기 티프스/쯔쯔가무시열/츠츠가무시병)의 증상 징후

진드기에 물린 피부에 피부 궤양이 생긴다.
물린 후 약 1주되면 홍반성 구진이 흉부와 복부에 나타나고 그런 구진이 전신으로 퍼질 수 있다.
얼굴과 손에는 발진이 잘 생기지 않는다.
겨드랑이, 사타구니 등에 있는 림프절이 비대되고 누르면 조금 아프다.
미열 내지 고열이 생기고 전신에 통증이 생긴다.
이 병이 경미할 수 있고 아주 심할 수 있다.
항생제로 적절히 치료하면 잘 회복될 수 있으나 사망률이 5% 된다.

쯔쯔가무시 병(덤불 티푸스/진드기 티프스/쯔쯔가무시열/츠츠가무시병)의 진단

병력, 증상 징후, 진찰소견 등을 종합해서 이 병을 의심하면 IFA 검사나 면역 과산화 효소 분석(Immunoperoxidase assay) 검사 등으로 진단한다.

쯔쯔가무시 병(덤불 티푸스, 진드기 티프스, 쯔쯔가무시열, 츠츠가무시병)의 치료

Doxycycline, Tetracycline, 또는 Chloramphenicol 등 항생제로 치료한다.

쯔쯔가무시 병(덤불 티푸스/진드기 티프스/쯔쯔가무시열/츠츠가무시병)의 예방

진드기에 물리지 않도록 옷을 적절히 잘 입고 곤충 구제제 DEET로 진드기물림을 예방 한다.
