작은 심방 중격 결손증이나 그 외 어떤 종류의 선천성 심장혈관 기형은 제외하고, 거의 모든 선천성 심장혈관 기형, 심장에 있는 판막 이상, 인공 심장판막, 승모판 탈출증, 류마티스 심장염 등을 현재 앓고 있거나 과거에 앓았던 병력이 있는 소아청소년이 치아 치료를 받을 때, 이를 뺄 때, 잇몸 치료를 받을 때, 코, 입, 인두, 편도, 아데노이드, 호흡기계, 위장관, 비뇨계 등의 어떤 부위에 있는 병을 수술로 치료 받을 때는 의사의 지시에 따라 수술 받기 바로 전, 수술 중 그리고 수술을 받은 바로 후에 적절한 항생제로 전염성 심장 내막염을 반드시 예방적 치료를 해야 한다. 작은 심방중격 결손이나 그 외 몇 종류의 선천성 심장 기형을 제외하고 거의 모든 선천성 심장 기형이 있는 아이들이 앞서 설명한 수술을 받을 때는 의사의 처방에 따라 페니실린, 에리스로마이신, 반코마이신, 스트렙토마이신, 앰피실린, 겐타마이신 등 여러 종류의 항생제들 중 한 가지 또는 두세 가지 항생제로 수술받기 30분-1시간 전과 수술 받은 후 6시간 후에 1회 더 주어 전염성 심장내막염을 예방한다.

• Almost all congenital cardiovascular anomalies, valve abnormalities in the heart, artificial heart valves, mitral valve herniation, rheumatic heart disease, etc.

When a child or adolescent with a medical history receives dental treatment, tooth removal, gum treatment, nose, mouth, pharynx, tonsils, adenoids, respiratory system, gastrointestinal tract, urinary system, etc.

When receiving treatment, infectious endocarditis must be prophylactically treated with appropriate antibiotics immediately before, during and immediately after surgery according to the doctor’s instructions

• For children with almost all congenital heart anomalies, except for small atrial septal defects and some other congenital heart anomalies, penicillin, erythromycin, vancomycin, streptomycin, ampicillin, or penicillin, as prescribed by a doctor, when undergoing the surgery described above.

One or two or three antibiotics, such as gentamicin, are given once more 30 minutes-1 hour before surgery and 6 hours after surgery to prevent infectious endocarditis.
