신생아 종격동 기흉, Neonatal pneumomediastinum

종격동에 공기, 또는 기체가 존재하는 것을 종격동 기흉 또는 종격동기증이라 한다.
종격동 기흉은 남녀노소 누구에게나 생길 수 있다.
여기서는 신생아에게 생기는 신생아 종격동 기흉에 관해 설명한다.

신생아 종격동 기흉(신생아기 종격동기흉)의 원인

미숙 신생아, 과대히 확장된 폐기포가 터질 때, 심폐소생술 치료를 받을 때,
태변 흡인증,
유리질막증,
폐렴,
폐기흉,
또는 폐낭종이 터질 때 기흉과 같이 생길 수 있고
때로는 원인을 알 수 없이 자연적으로도 생긴다.

신생아 종격동 기흉(신생아기 종격동 기흉)의 증상 징후

아무 증상 징후도 없을 수 있고 원인되는 병에 따라 증상 징후가 생길 수 있다.
종격동 기흉이 심할 때는 호흡곤란이 생길 수 있고 모유나 인공영양을 먹는 것이 시원치 않고 목에 있는 정맥 혈관이 커질 수 있고 피하 조직에 공기가 차 있을 수 있다.

신생아 종격동 기흉(신생아기 종격동 기흉)의 진단

증상 징후, 진찰, 가슴 X선 사진검사 등으로 진단한다.

신생아 종격동 기흉(신생아기 종격동 기흉)의 치료

원인과 정도에 따라 치료한다.
정도가 작고 증상 징후가 없는 종격동 기흉은 관찰 치료한다.
