신생아 두개골 골절의 원인

특히 난산으로 태어난 신생아들의 두개골이 골절될 수 있다.
드물게 자연 분만으로 순산한 신생아의 머리가 질 산도에 세게 눌려 두개골이 골절되기도 한다.
겸자 분만을 할 때도 두개골이 골절될 수 있다.
분만과는 관계없이 안전사고 등으로 신생아의 두개골이 골절될 수 있다.

신생아 두개골 골절의 증상 징후

두개골 골절의 정도, 부위, 원인, 합병증의 유무 등에 따라 증상 징후가 다르다.
두개골이 경미하게 골절된 경우에는 증상 징후가 거의 없을 수 있다.
드물게 갓 태어난 아기가 어떤 병을 앓을 때 그 병을 진단하기 위하여 두개골 X선 사진검사 등을 할 때 두개골이 골절된 것을 우연히 발견할 때도 있다.
신생아 두혈종과 경미한 두개골 골절이 동시 생길 수 있다.
두개골이 심하게 골절될 때는 두개골 골절과 두개강 내 출혈이 동시에 있을 수 있다.
이 경우에는 두개골 골절로 생긴 증상 징후보다도 두개강 내 출혈로 인한 증상 징후가 주로 나타나는 것이 보통이다.

신생아 두개골 골절의 진단 치료

병력, 증상 징후, 진찰소견 등을 종합하여 이 병이 의심되면 두부 CT 스캔 검사, 두부 MRI, 두부 X선 사진, 두부 초음파 사진 검사 등으로 진단할 수 있다.
신생아의 두개골이 아주 심하게 골절되면 수술로 적절히 치료한다.
신생아의 두개골이 아주 경미하게 골절되면 그대로 두고 관찰 치료를 하면 저절로 낫을 수 있다.
