신생아 결막하 출혈, Subconjunctival hemorrhages of newborn infants

분만 중, 태아의 머리와 얼굴이 산모의 산도의 압력에 눌려 결막의 아래 조직, 즉 결막 하 모세혈관이 터져 결막 하부 조직에 피가 조금 날 수 있다.
이렇게 생긴 결막 하부 출혈을 신생아 결막하 출혈 또는 결막 하 출혈이라고 한다.
신생아 결막 하 출혈은 출생 후 바로 나타날 수도 있으나 생후 2~3일 경에 더 현저하게 나타나는 것이 보통이다([부모도 반의사가 되어야 한다–소아가정간호백과]-제19권 소아청소년 안과 질환–결막 하 출혈 참조).

신생아 결막하 출혈의 진단 치료

병력 증상 징후 진찰소견 등을 종합해서 진단한다.
가만히 두고 관찰 치료를 하면 2주 이내에 저절로 낫는 것이 보통이다. 안약을 발라 치료할 필요도 없다.
