식물 중독의 개요

풀, 나무는 우리가 살고 있는 주위 거의 어디에서든지 자란다. 소아청소년들이 나무나 풀을 어디서든지 언제든지 손으로 만지고 신체에 접촉 할 수 있다. 특히 영유아들은 나무나 풀의 열매, 잎, 뿌리 등을 분별없이 입에 넣고 먹기도 하고, 피부에 접촉하고, 빨고 놀기도 한다.
심지어는 성인들도 또 소아청소년들도 유독성이 없고 영양 가치가 있어 먹어도 좋은 나무나 풀의 뿌리, 잎과 열매와 독성이 있고 먹어서 안되는 나무나 풀의 열매, 뿌리, 잎을 확실히 감별할 수 없는 때가 많다.
지구상에 유해성 및 유독성 식물의 종류가 거의 700여종 이상이 있다고 한다.
조상들이 오랜 세월을 두고 나무나 풀의 잎, 줄기, 열매, 뿌리로 만든 음식물을 섭취해 본 후 먹은 후 중독되지 않고 몸에 해롭지 않은 식물성(植物性) 음식물이 대대손손을 거쳐 선택됐다. 그 이외 나무나 풀의 잎, 줄기, 열매, 뿌리로 요리한 새 음식물을 처음 먹은 후 음식물 중독이 생길 수 있다고 생각하는 것이 좋다.
특히 어린 영유아 자녀가 유독성이 있는지 유독성이 없는지 확실히 알 수 없는 나무나 풀의 잎, 뿌리, 또 열매 등을 처음 먹었을 때는 먹은 식물을 입안에서 급히 제거하고 나무나 풀의 중독의 증상 징후가 생기는 지 관찰하면서 단골 소아청소년과 의사와 상담하는 것이 좋다.

알라스카의 동 서부 지역에서 5, 6월에 채취한 조개를 먹고 마비성 조개 중독이 생길 수 있다.

Grass and trees grow almost anywhere around us.
Children and adolescents can touch trees and grass anytime, anywhere, with their hands and make contact with their bodies.
In particular, infants and toddlers put the fruit, leaves, and roots of trees or grass into their mouths without discrimination and eat, contact the skin, and play with them.
Even adults and young adults cannot clearly discriminate which plants are not toxic and have nutritional value and they can not discriminate which roots of trees or grass, leaves and fruits, and the fruits of trees or grass are toxic and should not be eaten.
It is said that there are more than 700 kinds of harmful and toxic plants on the planet. After eating food made from leaves, stems, fruits, and roots of trees or grass for a long time by our ancestors, after eating, vegetable foods that were not poisoned and harmless to the body were chosen from generation to generation.
Other than that, it is good to think that food poisoning may occur after first eating new food cooked with leaves, stems, fruits, or roots of trees or grass.
In particular, when you first eat leaves, roots, and fruits of trees or grass, where it is not clear whether young infants and children are toxic or non-toxic, remove the eaten plant from your child’s mouth promptly and observe whether symptoms of poisoning with trees or grass appear.
While doing this, it is better to consult with a regular pediatrician.

Paralytic shellfish poisoning 마비성 조개 중독

알라스카 동서 지역에서 5월 6월 경 채취 한 조개를 먹고 마비성 중독에 걸렸다고 한다.
