모닐리아 감염병 Monilial infection

  • 칸디다(Candida)는 일종의 진균이다. 모닐니아는 칸디다 속의 진균이다.
  • 칸디다 감염이 외음 생식기에 생기면 외생식기 칸디다 감염병이 생길 수 있고, 질에 생기면 모닐리아 질염(Monilial vaginitis) 또는 칸디다 질염(Candidal vaginitis)이라고 한다.
  • 외음과 질이 동시에 칸디다에 감염되어 생긴 염증을 칸디다성 외음질염(Vulvovaginal candidiasis)이라고 한다.
  • 칸디다 염증(Candidiasis) 대신 모닐리아염증(Moniliasis) 또는 이스트 감염병(Yeast infection)이라는 용어도 쓴다.
  • 여기서는 칸디다 감염과 모닐니아 감염이 동의어로 사용된다.
  • 신생아나 첫 돌 이전 영아의 입 안이나 기저귀를 찬 피부 등이 칸디다에 감염되어 칸디다 염증이 생길 수 있다.
  • 일반적으로, 첫 돌 이후 건강한 유아, 학령기 아이나 사춘기 아이의 입안이나 피부에 칸디다 진균이 조금 있을 수는 있지만 염증이 잘 생기지 않는 것이 보통이다.
  • 장기간 항생제 치료를 받거나, 당뇨병이 있거나, 선천성 또는 후천성 면역체 결핍증이 있는 아이에게는 나이에 관계없이 칸디다 감염이 생길 수 있고, 그로 인해 칸디다 피부염, 칸디다 질염, 칸디다 외음염 등이 생길 수 있다.
  • 성관계를 갖는 사춘기 여아, 특히 복잡한 성생활을 하는 사춘기 여아나 다수의 성교 상대자와 성생활을 하는 사춘기 여아에게 칸디다 질염이나 외음 질염이 잘 생길 수 있다.
  • 성관계를 갖지 않은 사춘기 여아의 질강 속이나 외음에 칸디다 진균에 감염될 수 있다.

Monilial infection 모닐리아 감염병

• Candida is a type of fungus. Monilnia is a fungus of the genus Candida.

• When Candida infection occurs in the genital vulva, exogenous Candida infection can occur. When it occurs in the vagina, it is called Monilial vaginitis or Candidal vaginitis.

• Inflammation caused by Candida infection of the vulva and vagina at the same time is called Vulvovaginal candidiasis. • Instead of Candida inflammation, the term Moniliasis or yeast infection is also used.

• Candida infection and monilnia infection are used synonymously here.

• Candida infection can occur in the mouth of a newborn or pre-first baby, or in diapered skin.

• In general, healthy infants, school-age children, or adolescents may have some Candida fungi in their mouths or skin after the first birthday, but they are usually less inflamed.

• Children who are on long-term antibiotic therapy, have diabetes, or have a congenital or acquired immune system deficiency may develop Candida infection at any age, resulting in Candida dermatitis, Candida vaginitis, and Candida vulvitis.

• Candida vaginitis or vulvovaginitis can develop in adolescent girls who have sexual intercourse, especially adolescent girls who have a complex sex life, or adolescent girls who have sex with a large number of sexual partners.

• Adolescent girls who have not had sex can become infected with Candida fungi in the vaginal cavity or vulva.
