매독 Syphilis

매독 Syphilis

  • 트레포네마 팔리둠(Treponema pallidum)이라는 매독균에 감염되어 생기는 감염성 성병을 매독이라고 한다.
  • 매독균은 스피로헤타과, 트레포네마속, 그람 음성 나선상 박테리아이다.
  • 매독의 증상 징후는 다양하다.
  • 매독은 1기, 2기, 3기 매독으로 분류된다.
  • 매독의 각 기에 따라, 그리고 매독에 감염된 신체 부위에 따라 증상 징후가 다르다.
  • 피부 발진, 외부생식기의 매독성 부스럼, 서혜부 림프절 비대, 뇌신경 감염 등이 생길 수 있고, 그로 인해 여러 가지 매독 증상이 생길 수 있다.
  • 매독에 걸려도 아무런 증상 징후가 없을 때도 있고, 매독을 적절히 치료하지 않으면 장애자가 되거나 사망할 수 있다.
  • 임신부에게 매독이 있으면, 태아에게도 감염되어 태아에게 기형이 생길 수 있고, 출생 후 선천성 매독으로 고생할 수 있다.
  • 병력·증상 징후·신체 검진 등을 종합해 매독이 있다고 의심되면, RPR, ART, FTA-ABS, TP-Pa, VDRL 등의 임상검사로 진단할 수 있다.
  • 이런 검사에서 허위 양성 또는 허위 음성의 검사 결과가 나타날 수 있다.
  • 특히 초기 RPR 매독 검사에 허위 양성 또는 허위 음성 검사 결과가 나타날 수 있다.

Syphilis 매독

• An infectious sexually transmitted disease caused by infection with the syphilis bacteria Treponema pallidum is called syphilis.

• Syphilis bacteria are Spirohethaaceae, Treponema genus, and Gram-negative spiral bacteria.

• Symptoms and signs of syphilis vary.

• Syphilis is classified into stage 1, stage 2, and stage 3 syphilis.

• Symptoms differ for each stage of syphilis and the part of the body infected with syphilis.

• Skin rash, syphilis swelling of the external genitalia, enlarged lymph nodes in the inguinal region, and cranial nerve infections may occur, resulting in various symptoms of syphilis.

• Syphilis sometimes has no symptoms and can lead to disability or death if syphilis is not treated properly.

• If a pregnant woman has syphilis, it can infect the fetus and cause malformations in the fetus, and may suffer from congenital syphilis after birth.

• If you suspect that syphilis is present based on your medical history, symptoms, and physical examination, you can diagnose it with clinical tests such as RPR, ART, FTA-ABS, TP-Pa, and VDRL.

• These tests may result in false positives or false negatives.

• False positive or false negative test results may appear, especially in the initial RPR syphilis test.
