  • 임신 중 메사돈, 코케인, 바비탈, 암페타민, 펜사클리딘 (PCP) 등 습관성 마약에 중독된 임신부에게 태어난 신생아에게 마약 금단의 증상 징후가 나타날 수 있다. 미국에서는 한 해 220명의 신생아들 중 1명이 마약에 중독된 임신부로부터 태어난다.

  • 습관성 마약을 섭취해 중독 된 임신부에게는 태반 조기 박리, 임질, 매독 등 감염병에 더 잘 걸려 있을 수 있고 그런 임신부로부터 태어난 신생아들에게도 여러 가지 선천성 감염병이 더 잘 생길 수 있다.
  • 미숙 신생아 출산, 임신 중독, 둔부 분만, 저체중아 출생 등이 더 잘 생긴다.
  • 신생아에게 유리막질증이나 황달 발생률도 더 높다.
  • 헤로인에 중독된 엄마로부터 태어난 신생아들의 70%가 금단 증상 징후가 생긴다.
  • 이런 증상 징후가 출생 24시간 이내에 생기기도 하고 출생 후 4일경에 생기는 것이 보통이다.
  • 드물게는 생후 7~10일에도 나타난다.
  • 임신 중 습관성 마약을 더 많이 섭취할수록, 더 오랜 기간 동안 섭취한 임신부로부터 태어난 신생아에게 금단 증상 징후가 더 심하게 나타나는 것이 보통이다.
  • 손발 몸 떨림, 과민, 운동과다, 근육긴장, 과 긴장성 상태, 간대성 경련, 응시상태, 안구 진전, 경련, 잠을 제대로 자지 못함, 하품을 많이 하고, 땀을 많이 흘리고, 피부에 홍조가 생기고, 피부에 찰과상이 생길 수 있다.
  • 열, 고음 울음, 재채기, 코 막힘, 숨을 약하고 낮게 쉬고, 호흡장애, 숨을 빠르게 느리게 쉬고, 호흡 곤란, 배가 부름, 더 많이 빨고, 손을 빨고, 구토, 잘 먹지 않음, 위장 장애, 설사, 탈수 등의 금단 증상 징후가 생길 수 있다.

마약중독 산모로부터 태어난 신생아의 진단

  • 임신 병력, 증상 징후, 검진 등을 종합해서 신생아 금단 증상 징후를 진단할 수 있다.
  • 혈당 농도 검사, 혈중 칼슘농도 검사, 뇌파검사 등을 하고 감염병이 있나 알아보기 위한 여러 가지 피검사를 한다.
  • 신생아의 소변, 산모의 소변과 피를 검사해서 약물이 있나 알아본다.

마약중독 산모로부터 태어난 신생아의 치료

  • 사회복지사의 도움을 받아 출산부의 가정 사회 경제 문제를 도와주고 소아 학대 보고센터에 보고해야 한다.
  • 증상 징후가 나타나면 Phenobarbital, Paregoric, Chlorpromazine, Diazepam, Methadone 등으로 치료한다.
