상완골 기부 성장판 손상이 생기면 리틀 리그 견관절이 생길 수 있다.

야구, 배구, 수영 등 스포츠 하는 소아들은 어깨 관절을 특별히 많이 쓰기 때문에 견관절에 있는 상완골 기부 성장판(Physis) 손상을 입기 쉽다.
소아들이 특히 야구 투구 등 던지는 운동을 하다가 생긴 상완골 기부 성장판 손상을 “리틀 리그 견관절“이라고 한다.
사춘기 아이들이나 젊은이들이 어깨 관절(견관절)을 과도사용하거나 반복적으로 과도 사용할 때 상완골 기부 성장판 손상이 생기기도 한다.
11~16세 연령층 사춘기 아이들에게 가장 흔히 생긴다.
몇 주, 몇 달 동안 은근하게 끊임없이 통증이 생기고 공을 더 힘줘 던질 때 그쪽 어깨가 더 아플 수 있다.
상완골 기부 외측부에 압통이 생길 수 있다.
보통 하는 어깨 운동에는 별지장이 없을 수 있다.

리틀 리그 견관절의 진단

병력, 증상 징후, 진찰, 견관절 X선 사진 검사로 진단한다.

리틀 리그 견관절의 치료

의사의 처방에 따라 1~9개월 동안 쉬고 그쪽 어깨 힘 강화운동 치료 등으로 치료한다.

Little league shoulder 리틀 리그 견관절

• Children who play sports such as baseball, volleyball, and swimming especially use the shoulder joint a lot, so it is easy to damage the humerus base growth plate (Physis) in the shoulder joint.

• Injury to the basal growth plate of the humerus in children, especially during throwing, such as pitching, is called a “little league shoulder joint”.

• When adolescents or young people overuse or repeatedly overuse the shoulder joint (shoulder joint), damage to the growth plate at the base of the humerus can occur.

• Most common in adolescents aged 11 to 16 years.

• For weeks or months, you will experience subtly constant pain, and the harder you throw the ball, the more your shoulder hurts.

• Tenderness may develop on the outside of the base of the humerus.

• Normal shoulder exercises may not have much of a problem.

Diagnosis of Little League Shoulder Joint

• Diagnosis is made by medical history, symptomatic signs, examination, and X-ray examination of the shoulder joint.

Treatment of Little League Shoulder Joints

• According to the doctor’s prescription, take a break for 1 to 9 months and treat it with shoulder strength strengthening exercises.
