디프테리아, 파상풍, 백일해 백신 예방접종 받고 생길 수 있는 심한 부작용, Severe side effects of DTaP vaccination
  • DTaP 백신을 맞고 섭씨 40도(화씨 104도) 이상 고열이 나거나
  • DTP 백신을 접종 받은 후 어떤 방법으로도 도저히 달랠 수 없이 3시간 이상 동안 계속 심하게 울고 보채거나
  • 쇼크에 빠지거나
  • 전신 경련을 하거나
  • 뇌염이 생기거나
  • 아나필락시 반응이 생길 수 있다.
  • 아나필락시 반응은 디프테리아, 파상풍, 백일해 백신 주사로 예방접종 받은 소아청소년의 백만 명 중 9.5명에게 생길 수 있다( 출처: Pediatrics Oct 2003).
  • 혈소판이 파괴되거나 적혈구가 파괴될 수 있다.

■ 심한 DTaP 부작용이 생기면 어떻게 하나

  • DTP 백신을 근육 주사로 접종 받은 다음 심한 DTaP 백신 예방접종으로 부작용이 생긴 아이는 파상풍, 디프테리아, 백일해를 예방하기 위해 DTaP 백신으로 더 이상 예방접종을 받을 수 없다.
  •  부작용의 정도와 증상 징후에 따라 치료 한다.

Severe side effects of DTaP vaccination

• Have a high fever of 40 degrees Celsius (104 degrees Fahrenheit) or higher after receiving the DTaP vaccine

• After receiving the DTP vaccine, crying, sneezing, or crying continuously for more than 3 hours that cannot be relieved by any means.

• be in shock or

• have general convulsions or

• If you have encephalitis or

• Anaphylactic reactions may occur.

• Anaphylactic reactions can occur in 9.5 out of 1 million children and adolescents vaccinated with diphtheria, tetanus and pertussis vaccines (Source: Pediatrics Oct 2003). • Platelets may be destroyed or red blood cells may be destroyed.

■ What should I do if I have severe DTaP side effects?

Children who have received DTP vaccine intramuscularly and then develop adverse reactions from severe DTaP vaccination can no longer be vaccinated with DTaP vaccine to prevent tetanus, diphtheria and pertussis. Treatment depends on the severity of side effects and symptoms.
