머리를 어디에 세게 부딪혀 두피가 붓고 피가 맺힌 외상을 두피 좌상 또는 두피 타박상이라고 한다.
머리의 여러 부위 중 앞이마가 가장 쉽게 어디에 부딪칠 수 있고 한 번 부딪치면 심하게 붓는 경향이 있다. 그래서 두피에 좌상이 생기기 쉽다.
때로는 사소하게 부딪혀도 앞이마의 두피가 달걀 크기만 하게 심하게 부을 수 있다.
앞이마가 두피 좌상으로 많이 부었을 때 상당히 아플 것 같지만, 대개의 경우, 부딪힐 때만 어는 정도 아프지 그 이후에는 그렇게 아프지 않는 것이 보통이다.
앞이마를 어디에 부딪친 후 혹같이 크게 부은 상처가 생긴 자녀를 보고 걱정을 많이 하면서 병원 응급실로 급히 데리고 가는 부모도 있다.
그렇지만 머리를 어디에 부딪쳐 두피에 좌상이 생겨도 의식을 잃지 않고 두개골 골절도 생기지도 않고 머리도 아프지 않고 계속 울지도 않고 구토하지도 않고 다친 후 잘 놀면 대개의 경우, 집에서 관찰적 치료를 해도 된다.
앞이마 이외 머리의 다른 부위의 두피에 좌상이 생길 수 있다.
이런 두피 좌상을 입었을 때도 의식을 잃지도 않고 주로 두피 부종 이외 다른 증상이 없으면 더 이상 붓지 않게 얼음물 주머니 찜질이나 찬물 찜질 치료 하면 더 붓지도 않고 좌상이 생긴 국소에 통증도 덜 해진다.
대부분의 두피 좌상은 2~3일 내에 자연히 낫는 것이 보통이다.
눈두덩의 바로 위에 있는 이마 부위를 어디에 부딪치면 1∼3일 내에 그쪽 눈 주위가 파랗게 멍 들 수 있고 그 쪽 눈을 뜰 수 없을 정도로 눈두덩 이와 눈꺼풀이 심하게 부을 수 있다.
이렇게 멍든 눈두덩 이와 눈꺼풀도 특별히 치료를 하지 않아도 저절로 낫는다. 그러나 걱정이 되면 의사의 전화 상담 치료를 받는다.

Scalp contusion 두피 좌상

• A trauma in which the scalp is swollen and blood is formed by hitting the head hard is called a scalp contusion or a scalp bruise.

• Of the many parts of the head, the forehead is the easiest to hit, and once hit, it tends to swell severely. So, it is easy to have a strain on the scalp.

• Sometimes even a slight bump can cause the scalp of the forehead to swell as hard as an egg.

• When the forehead is swollen from the upper part of the scalp, it will hurt quite a bit, but in most cases, it hurts to some extent only when it hits it, but it is usually not that painful after that.

• Some parents hurriedly take them to the hospital’s emergency room, worrying a lot about seeing a child with a large swollen wound after hitting his forehead.

• Nevertheless, if you hit your head where you have a strain on the scalp, you do not lose consciousness, do not have a skull fracture, do not hurt your head, keep crying, do not vomit, and play well after injury. In most cases, observational treatment can be performed at home.

• There may be a strain on the scalp of the head other than the forehead.

• If you do not lose consciousness even when you suffer from such a scalp swelling and there are no symptoms other than swelling of the scalp, if you treat it with an ice water bag or cold water so that it does not swell anymore, it will not swell more and lessen the pain in the affected area.

• Most of the scalp strains heal naturally within 2 to 3 days.

• If you hit the forehead area just above the eyelid, the area around the eye may be bruised blue within 1 to 3 days, and the upper eyelid and eyelid may become so swollen that you cannot open the other eye.

• These bruised eyelids and eyelids heal on their own without special treatment. However, if you are concerned, seek medical attention from a doctor over the phone.
