• Infants and toddlers who do not have enough teeth to chew food well may have diarrhea when eating without chewing food well.

• Severe cavities, or for some reason, all teeth are missing, or teeth are normally enough to chew food, but when food is not chewed properly, digestion may be difficult and diarrhea may occur.

• You can have diarrhea when you eat foods that are not appropriate for your age. • Infants before 6 months of age or young children after birth can have diarrhea if they eat too much fruit juices, foods, drinks, or vegetable juices.
