안녕하세요..

전 20개월 된 아이의 엄마 입니다. 저희 아이가 이틀 전에 과산화수소를 약간 마신 거 같아서요. 그 당시에 바로 토하게 해서 아침에 마신 우유와 함께 모두 토를 해냈습니다.

병원을 찾긴 했는데요 (여긴 지금 중국입니당….^^;;) 2시간 안에 와야 하는데 조금 늦었다며 (3시간정도 후에 갔습니다) 목젖 근처가 빨갛다며 (감기 중이었습니다.. 기침과 콧물) 감기 때문인지 이물질을 마셔서 인지는 알 수 없다며 소염제와 비타민 C를 받아서 왔습니다….. 지금 아가는 컨디션은 좋은데요…..자꾸 걱정이 되서요.. 여기저기 찾아보니 독성이 있는 이물질을 마셨을 때는 토하게 하면 안 된다고 하더라구요.. 식도벽에 자극을 줄 수 있다고.. 그런데 3% 과산화수소수도 식도벽에 자극을 줄 수 있는 건지요.. 아이는 그날 저녁 물도 많이 마시구 밥도 먹구요 변도 용이하게 보고 있습니다.

그래도 자꾸 걱정이 되네요….^^;; 혹시 시간이 조금 지난 후에 증상 징후가 나타날 수 있는 건 아닌지요.. 두서 없는 질문 죄송합니다.. 오늘도 즐거운 하루 되시구요

Handbook of Common Poisonings in Children, 3rd edition, p.31, American Academy of Pediatrics의 Nontoxic ingestions(비 독성물질을 먹었을 때)란 항목에 비 독성물질의 항목이 있습니다.

그 문헌을 읽어보면 “다음과 같은 것들을 소량 마시거나 피부에 접촉하면 건강상 문제가 생기지 않으므로 집에서 관찰 치료를 해도 된다.”라고 되어 있습니다.

거기 관련 문헌에 H₂O₂ (과산화수소 3%)도 포함되어 있습니다. 아시겠지만 과산화수소를 소량 마셔도 건강 문제가 생기지 않는 것이 보통입니다.
