눈에 타박상이나 다른 외상을 입었을 때 눈의 여러 구조 중 어느 부위에서든지 출혈될 수 있다. 눈에 생긴 출혈 중 가장 흔히 볼 수 있는 출혈은 결막하 출혈이다.
구토를 할 때나 기침을 심하게 할 때 같이 얼굴에 힘을 많이 줄 때, 또 안구나 아와 주위에 타박상을 입었을 때 결막하 출혈이 생길 수 있다.
분만 중 태어나는 아기의 결막하에 출혈이 생길 수 있다.
백혈병·혈소판 감소증·혈우병 등 전신적 출혈 질환이 있을 때도 결막하 출혈이 생길 수 있다.
대부분의 결막하 출혈은 결막 하에 피가 조금 나 있는 것 이 외 다른 증상 징후가 거의 없다.
결막하 출혈은 원인에 따라 치료한다.
의사의 지시에 따라 경미한 눈 타박상으로 생긴 결막하 출혈은 아무 치료 없이 2주 정도 관찰 하면 자연히 없어지는 것이 보통이다. 부모도 반의사가 되어야 한다–제6권 신생아 성장 발육 양호 질환– 결막하 출혈 참조

Subconjunctival hemorrhage 결막하 출혈

• A bruise or other trauma to the eye can cause bleeding in any of the many structures of the eye. The most common bleeding in the eye is subconjunctival hemorrhage.

• Subconjunctival hemorrhage can occur when you put a lot of force on your face, such as when you vomit or cough heavily, or when you have a bruise around your eye or auricle.

• Bleeding may occur under the conjunctiva in babies born during labor.

• Subconjunctival hemorrhage may also occur in systemic bleeding disorders such as leukemia, thrombocytopenia, and hemophilia.

• Most subconjunctival hemorrhages have few symptoms other than a small amount of blood under the conjunctiva.

• Subconjunctival hemorrhage is treated according to the cause.

• Subconjunctival hemorrhage caused by minor eye bruises according to the doctor’s instructions usually disappears spontaneously after 2 weeks of observation without any treatment. Parents Should Be Anti-Doctors – See Volume 6 Neonatal Growth and Development Disorders – Subconjunctival Bleed
